MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli's Poor Review Decision | Ind Vs Aus 2nd T-20 | 2017 Series ─ CricTalks

In cricketing terms, the correct expansion of 'DRS' is 'Decision Review System. However, over the past few months or so, the Indian fans have expanded 'DRS' to mean "Dhoni Review System" due to his accuracy with the technology.

If MS Dhoni says it is not out, it is most definitely not out. Unfortunately, in an anomaly, Dhoni got one wrong against Australia in the second T20I which is being held in Guwahati.

Chasing a paltry score of 119 to get the series back on level terms, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah struck early to dismiss both David Warner and Aaron Finch.

Bhuvi continued to trouble the new batsmen and was bowling some delightful outswingers to Moises Henriques.

In the fifth ball of the fifth over, Kumar bowled a fuller one which was closer to off stump. It demanded Henriques to play which led to the ball dancing past the outside edge. While a few of the Indians went up in appeal, most of them were unperturbed, including Dhoni.

Kohli seemed quite interested as he thought he had heard something. However, after consulting with Dhoni and the others, he decided against going up for the review.

Unfortunately for the Indians, replays suggested that the ball had taken the faintest of edges off Moises Henriques' bat.

It could have been the turning point of the match as Australia would have been in deep trouble. However, Henriques survived and to add salt to the wound started attacking the Indian bowlers and ended up scoring a half century as well.

Along with Travis Head, the duo took the game away from India and cruised to victory.

Earlier in the day, the Men in Blue crumbled against the opposition bowling attack and weren't able to cross 120 itself.

Jason Behrendorff ripped through the Indian top order removing Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, and Manish Pandey in quick succession.

Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav got India back in the game but were unable to stay until the end of the innings.

Apart from Behrendorff, Adam Zampa picked up two wickets while the other three bowlers picked up a wicket each.
