Here is what you'll need!

EASY SKILLET COBBLER 4 WAYS

APPLE CINNAMON
Servings: 8

INGREDIENTS
4 cups chopped apples, such as Granny Smith or Pink Lady
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
¼ cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
Pinch salt
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup butter, cut into slices

PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 350ºF/180ºC.
In a cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat, add the apples, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, spices, and salt.
Mix to combine and stir for 5-10 minutes until the mixture starts to thicken.
Let simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
Sprinkle the box cake mix over the apple filling.
Add the nuts and evenly distribute the sliced butter over the top to ensure even baking.
Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, until the top is golden brown.
Serve warm with ice cream!


CHOCOLATE CHERRY
Servings: 8

INGREDIENTS
4 cups fresh or frozen pitted cherries
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
¼ cup lemon juice
Pinch of salt
1 box chocolate cake mix
½ cup butter, cut into slices

PREPARATION
Preheat your oven to 350ºF/180ºC.
In a cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat, add the cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt.
Mix to combine and stir for 5-10 minutes until the mixture starts to thicken.
Let simmer for 5 minutes on low heat.
Sprinkle the box cake mix over the cherry filling.
Distribute the butter evenly over the top to ensure even baking.
Bake for 45 minutes to an hour, until the top is golden brown.
Serve warm with ice cream!


MIXED BERRY
Servings: 8

Perfect Hard-Boiled Eggs
Servings: 6

INGREDIENTS
6 eggs
Water, to cover
Ice, for ice bath

PREPARATION
Place eggs in a pot. Cover with cold water until the eggs are covered by about 1 inch of water.
Bring to a boil, uncovered. Once boiling, take off the heat.
Cover and cook for 4-16 minutes, depending on preference (4-6 minutes for soft-boiled, 8-10 minutes for medium-boiled, 12-16 minutes for hard-boiled). In the meantime, fill a large bowl with ice and cold water, creating an ice bath.
Once eggs reach desired cook-time, immediately remove the eggs from pot and place in the ice bath. Allow eggs to cool for 10-15 minutes.
To peel, lightly tap the eggs on a flat surface, then gently roll back and forth (taking extra care with soft-boiled eggs).
Pull away the loosened shell and peel any remaining pieces.
Serve as is or incorporate into your favorite recipe that requires hard-boiled eggs.

How To Regrow Fruit From Your Kitchen

NEED:
Strawberry
Raspberry
Tomato
Lemon
Orange
Avocado
Pineapple
Mason jars or cups
Toothpicks
All-purpose or seed-starting soil

Strawberries
Remove seeds from strawberry with a toothpick.
Rinse the seeds off so no fruit is left on them then let them dry off completely.
Fill a container almost all the way with all-purpose or seed-starting soil and flick the seeds into it.
Cover seeds with ¼ inch of soil.
Spray water on seeds, repeat every other day
Leave seeds in sunlight
Watch for seeds to sprout.
Transfer to soil once sprouts grow their third leaves

Raspberries
Remove seeds from strawberry with a toothpick or by mashing a raspberry through a strainer.
Rinse the seeds off so no fruit is left on them then let them dry off completely.
Fill a container almost all the way with all-purpose or seed-starting soil and flick the seeds into it.
Cover seeds with ¼ inch of soil.
Spray water on seeds, repeat every other day
Leave seeds in sunlight
Transfer to soil once sprouts grow their third leaves

Tomatoes
Slice tomato into thirds horizontally.
Take any of the thirds and place them in a cup or jar filled ¾ of the way with all-purpose soil.
Cover the last fourth with soil to cover the tomato.
Moisten soil considerably and leave in direct sunlight
Spray water on seeds, repeat every other day
Watch for seeds to sprout!


Citrus
Slice citrus in half and remove seeds.
Rinse seeds off but do not allow to dry
Fill a container ¾ of the way with all-purpose or seed-starting soil.
Rinse the seeds off so no fruit is left on them then let them dry off completely.
Fill a container ¾ of the way with all-purpose or seed-starting soil.
Leave seeds in a warm place (on a refrigerator or near a water heater)
Spray water on seeds, repeat every other day
Watch for seeds to sprout!


Avocado
Slice an avocado in half and remove the seed.
Rinse the seed off and allow to dry.
Poke toothpicks in 3 sides of the seed.
Place seed in a glass of water, relying on the toothpicks to hold it up so that only the bottom quarter of the seed is in the water (pointed end should be facing up out of the water). Change water once a week
Roots should form in about 2-3 weeks.
Transfer to Soil once roots reach about 2-3 inches


Pineapple
Slice the crown of a pineapple off so that there is as little fruit attached as possible.
Pluck the leaves off so that about 5 inches of the crown is bare.
Leave crown in a sunny spot to dry for 2-7 days
Place seed in a glass of water, relying on the toothpicks to hold it up so that only the bottom quarter of the seed is in the water (pointed end should be facing up out of the water). Change water once a week
Roots should form in about 2-3 weeks.
Transfer to Soil once roots reach about 2-3 inches

Fruit Salad 4 Ways
Serves 4-5 (per recipe)

Tropical Salad

INGREDIENTS
2 oranges, peeled and halved
12 ounces strawberries, quartered
2 mangoes, chopped
4 kiwis, peeled and chopped or sliced

Dressing
3 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon maple syrup

PREPARATION

Combine all the ingredients above in a large bowl.
Mix the dressing ingredients together and spread over fruit, mix well.


Banana Berry
3 bananas, sliced
12 ounces strawberries, quartered
12 ounces raspberries


PREPARATION

Combine all the ingredients above in a large bowl.

Mango Melon

INGREDIENTS

2 cups pineapple, cubed
2 cups cantaloupe, cubed

Melon Berry

INGREDIENTS

12 ounces strawberries, quartered
12 ounces raspberries

Here is what you'll need!

Apple Pie From Scratch

INGREDIENTS
Pie Dough
2½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1½ sticks butter, cold and cut in cubes
4-8 tablespoons ice water

Filling
2½ pounds Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced
¾ cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ lemon
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon sugar
Vanilla ice cream

PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 375°F/200°C.
In a medium-sized bowl, add the flour and salt. Mix with fork until combined.
Add in cubed butter and break up into flour with a fork. Mixture will still have lumps about the size of small peas.
Gradually add in ice water and continue to mix until the dough starts to come together. You may not need all of the water, but if the dough is too dry then add more. The dough should not be very tacky or sticky.
Work the dough together with your hands and turn out onto a surface. Work into a ball and cover with cling wrap. Refrigerate.
In a bowl, add the sliced apples, sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon.
Mix until combined and all apples are coated. Refrigerate.
On a floured surface, cut the pie dough in half and roll out both halves until round and about ⅛-inch thick.
Roll the dough around the rolling pin and unroll onto a pie dish making sure the dough reaches all edges. Trim extra if necessary.
Pour in apple filling mixture and pat down.
Roll the other half of the dough on top.
Trim the extra dough from the edges and pinch the edges to create a crimp. Make sure edges are sealed together.
Brush the pie with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the sigar.
Cut four slits in the top of the pie to create a vent.
Bake pie for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and no greyish or undercooked pastry remains.
Allow to cool completely before slicing.
Top with ice cream and enjoy!
