You've probably seen this gorgeous, colorful cookie dough all over your Instagram feed, but what if it's not available in your area? Now you can make your own unicorn swirls at home and garnish them with as many sprinkles as you'd like. This is proof that unicorns make everything better.

2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups all-purpose heat-treated flour
Blue, purple, and pink food coloring
1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and salt until a frosting-like consistency is reached. Add applesauce, vanilla, and nutmeg and mix until combined. Mix in flour until just combined.
