Moong dal Sweet Potato Poli, a scrumptious Indian dessert made with maida based outer cover and sweet potato and green moong based inner filling.
Ingredients: Moong dal 1 Cup Ghee 1/2 Cup Raisins 7 Numbers Almonds 6 Numbers Cashewnuts 9 Numbers Sweet potato 4 Numbers Sugar 1 Cup Cardamom powder 1 Teaspoon Maida flour 1 Cup Salt as per taste Semolina 1 Cup Water as required
Method:
Take a blender, add soaked moong dal and make it into a coarse paste. Keep aside.
Now take a pan, add ghee, finely chopped raisins, almonds, cashew nuts.
Add moong dal paste along with grated sweet potato and mix it well. Cook it for 3 to 4 minutes.
To it, even add sugar, cardamom powder, fennel powder, and mix it well. Let it cook for another 4 to 5 minutes on a slow flame.
Take a bowl, add maida, ghee, salt, semolina and mix it.
Add little by little water and mix it like a dough. Keep aside.
Then make it into a small ball with the hands and stuff the sweet potato mixture and seal it.
Press it lightly with your hands as shown in the video.
Then take a pan add ghee do shallow fry as shown in the video.
Ready to serve.
