Dal - Pickle - Chutney - Yellow Cucumber Dal Recipe - Dosakai Pickle Achar Recipe - Chutney ─ Vahchef - VahRehVah

The cucumber dal is a type of dal cooked with yellow lentils and Indian cucumber especially famous in Andhra Pradesh.
Cucumber Dal
Ingredients:
Cucumber(Yellow) - 1 Cup
Toor Dal (Boiled) - 1 Cup
Oil - 2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - ½ tsp
Garlic (chopped) - 8
Green Chillies(chopped) - 4
Curry Leaves - 1 Sprig
Method:
Take 1 Cup of Toor dal,
1 tb spn of Chana Dal
½ tsp of Turmeric Boil them all together till dal is soft
Heat a pan, Add Oil
Add 1 tsp of Mustard Seeds
Add 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds
Add 4 Red Chillies
Add 1 Sprig of Curry Leaves
Add chopped Garlic
Add 1 chopped Onion
Add ½ tsp Turmeric
Add chopped Cucumber
Add 1 tb spn of Tamarind Pulp
Add chopped Tomatoes
Add Green Chillies
Add 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Add required amount of water
Cook it till cucumber it soft & transparent
Add cooked dal to it
Don't make it too thick
Add salt to taste
Finish it off with a cube of butter & coriander leaves
Juicy & Tasty Dal is Ready to Serve
Yellow cucumer pickle Dosavakai
Method:
Take a bowl
Add Chopped Cucumber
Add 1 ½ tb Red Chilli Powder
Add 1 tb spn Mustard Powder
Add a pinch Methi Powder
Add 5 crushed Garlic
Add a pinch Turmeric
Add ½ tsp Crushed Pepper
Add Salt
Add 1 Lemon Juice
Mix it well
Take a pan, Add Oil
Add ½ tsp Mustard seeds
Add ½ tsp Cumin seeds
Add 3 Red Chillies
Add a pinch Hing
After it cools down add it to pickle
Cucumber Chutney
Take a pan, Add Oil
Add ½ tsp Cumin seeds
Add 5-6 Garlic pods
Add 4 Green chillies
Add Tamarind
Add Salt to taste
Add chopped Cucumber
Let it cool & blend it into a coarse paste
Take a pan, Add Oil
Add ½ tsp mustard seeds
Add ½ tsp Urad dal
Add a pinch of Hing
Add Red chillies
Add Curry Leaves
Add this tempering to Chutney
