In this episode of RECIPE?! I went shopping at a local grocery store to see what I could find on the shelves, in light of the corona virus pandemic.
This was shot on Saturday March 14 the day after the US announced the European flight ban. It was only 24 hours after people started hoarding food and toilet paper at the grocery store. A lot was still unknown at this point and many people hadn't begun quarantine yet, including myself.
I made a frozen Amy's vegan pizza and doctored it up with more toppings including cherry tomatoes, shitake mushrooms, parm shreds, and vegan feta cheese. To accompany the pizza I also made a simple salad and made the dressing with sauerkraut brine. I also used leftover hazelnuts to make my vegan parm topping.
