Enjoy a Rose Vodka Penicillin, a variation on the traditional penicillin cocktail that substitutes vodka for scotch, and radiates with floral rose petals and candied ginger.

Rose Vodka "Penicillin"

Ingredients:
2 ounces Vodka
¾ ounce Lemon Juice
¾ ounce Honey Syrup*
Ginger Root
Candied Ginger (optional)
Fresh Rose
Tools
Cocktail Shaker
Jigger
Hawthorne Cocktail Strainer
Mesh Sieve (optional)
Thoroughly wash the ginger root and cut about three-inch long rectangles.
Muddle the ginger root until significantly smashed.
Combine muddled ginger in a shaker with the vodka, lemon juice, honey syrup and ice.
Shake vigorously until chilled and strain into a rocks glass over ice. (If you want to ensure no ginger specks are in your cocktail, strain through a metal sieve).
Garnish with candied ginger and rose petals. Always enjoy responsibly!
*To make Honey Syrup heat 2 cups of water to almost boiling. Add 1 ½ cups of honey and whisk until dissolved. Chill and store in the refrigerator. The syrup should be good for 5 days.
NOTES:
Always make sure the flowers you're using in your cocktail are edible and thoroughly washed!
