MUSHROOM & BABY POTATO IN CHETTINAD STYLE GRAVY ─ Indian Master Chef

Mushroom& baby potato in chettinad style gravy is one of the easy and flavourful recipe which goes well with both rice and chapati. I have already posted a basic simple version of potato curry and potato fry and this one is a chettinad version of potato mushroom curry.

Ingredients: Pepper corns 1 Teaspoon Coriander seeds 1 Teaspoon Dry red chilies 4 Teaspoons Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon Dry coconut pieces 1/2 Cup Cloves 2 Numbers Cardamom 2 Numbers Maize 1 Number Star anise 1 Number Bay leaf 1 Number Biryani flower 1 Number Caraway seeds 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon stick Small Oil as required Mustard seeds 1 Teaspoon Fenugreek seeds 1/2 Teaspoon Salt as required Ginger Small Garlic 5 Numbers Hing Pinch Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon Water as required Onion 1 Number Baby potato 1 Cup Mushroom 1 Cup Coriander leaves 1/2 Cup




Method:
1.Take a pan, add pepper corns, chana dal, coriander seeds, dry red chilies, dry coconut pieces, cloves, cardamom, maize, star anise, bay leaf, biryani flower, caraway seeds, cinnamon stick and sautĂŠ it for 2 to 3 minutes.
3.Then add these ingredients into the blender and make it into a fine powder.
4.Now take another pan add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dry red chilies, fenugreek seeds, salt and mix it well.
5.Add finely chopped onion, ginger, and garlic, Hing, turmeric powder.
6.sautĂŠ it for 1 to 2 mins.
7.Then add masala powder that we have prepared at the start along with tamarind pulp.
8.In the same pan, add water, chopped onion, boiled baby potato and mix it well. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
9. Then add mushroom and cook it well.
10.Add chopped coriander leaves.
Ready to serve.
