Here is yet another C&D; flavour for your delectation! We've been baking these Caramel Popcorn cupcakes for almost 10 years and they are still one of the most popular flavours. And with Oscars night almost upon us, it seemed appropriate to bake them!

Recipe -
For the sponge...
125g self raising flour
2 lg eggs
60g dark brown sugar
65g caster sugar
100g burnt butter
25g soft unsalted butter
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tbsp milk
For the Caramel Buttercream...
200g butter
320g icing sugar

2 tsp salt
For the popcorn...
1 tbsp vegetable oil
10g butter
70g popcorn kernels
