Today we're going to show you how to make the last of the oaxacans, a cocktail variation on The Last Word. You can probably call this cocktail the Mezcal Last Word or The Last Word with Mezcal, but the Last of the Oaxacans has a neat ring to it.

There is one thing we really love and that's Maraschino Liqueur, it wasn't something we wanted in a cocktail seven years ago but tastes change and mature. Now, all our favorite drinks have Maraschino liqueur in them. All others have Mezcal or Gin, so the last word and the last of the oaxacans is a great recipe design.
The Last of the Oaxacans
- ¾ oz. mezcal
- ¾ oz. fresh lime juice
- ¾ oz. maraschino liqueur
- ¾ oz. green Chartreuse
- Garnish cherry
