Betty demonstrates how to make Oven Baked Hearts of Palm Spread. This is a flavorful spread to serve with crackers.
Oven Baked Hearts of Palm Spread
14-ounce can hearts of palm, drained and chopped in ¼-inch to ½-inch cubes
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup mayonnaise
½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
¼ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped green onion tops
Wasa light rye crackers
In a large mixing bowl, stir together chopped hearts of palm, shredded mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise, shredded Parmesan cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onion tops. Place mixture into 9-inch quiche dish and spread out evenly with a spoon. Bake at 350 degrees (F) until bubbly and beginning to brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. When a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, the spread is done. Remove spread from oven and serve while hot with rye crackers or Melba rounds. Delicious! --Betty :)
