Puran Poli is a sweet flat bread savored on almost all the occasions in India. It is popular in Gujarat as well as Maharashtra. In Maharashtra, it is prepared by using Sooji Rava, however, in Gujarat Toovar Dal is preferred for making it.
Ingredients: Maida flour 1 Cup Ghee 3 Tablespoons Cashewnuts powder 1 Tablespoon Almonds powder 1 Tablespoon Semolina 1 Cup Fennel powder 1 Teaspoon Cardamom powder 1 Teaspoon Nutmeg powder 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar 1 Cup Saffron colour 1 Tablespoon Water as required
Method:
1.Take a bowl and add maida flour, salt, semolina, ghee and mix it well.
2.Add water and make it to a soft dough.
3.Now take a pan add ghee,cashewnuts powder,almonds powder, semolina and mix it.
4.Add fennel powder, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and mix it. Cook it nicely.
6.Now add sugar, saffron color, water and mix it well.
7.Make it into small balls and keep aside.
8.Now take the dough and make it a small puri with the hands as shown in the video.
9.Then stuff the semolina balls and seal it.
10.And press it lightly with hands.
11.Then take a pan, add ghee, place the stuffed puri do shallow fry both sides on a slow flame.
12.Serve it on a plate.
