Methi is certainly not the most popular green leafy vegetable out there, but this recipe will make you love it. Chicken pieces on the bone cooked in a curry made with dal powder masalas and fresh methi leaves. The final sprinkling of kasuri methi at the end elevates the dish. Have it with simple chapatis or steamed rice.
Ingredients:     Oil as required     Cloves 2 Numbers     Cardamom 2 Numbers     Mace 1 Number     Star anise 1 Number     Bay leaf 1 Number     Biryani flower 1 Number     Caraway seeds 1 Teaspoon     Cinnamon stick  Small     Coriander seeds 1 Teaspoon     Chana dal 1 Teaspoon     Toor dal 1 Teaspoon     Urad dal 1 Teaspoon     Green chilies 4 Numbers     Onion 1 Number     Salt as per taste     Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon     Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon     Chicken 1 Cup     Tomato puree 1 Cup     Fenugreek leaves 1 Cup     Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
Method:
Take a pan, add oil, whole garam masala (caraway seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, bay leaf, mace, biryani flower), coriander seeds and sautÄĹ  it for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add Chana dal, urad dal, toor dal and mix it well.
Add chopped green chilies and let it cook for 2 more minutes.
Then take these ingredients into the blender make it into a paste.
Now take a pan, add oil, chopped onion, salt and cook it lightly.
Add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, masala paste that we have prepared at starting along with chicken pieces and tomato puree and cook it for 5 minutes.
In the same pan, add fenugreek leaves and mix it well. Let this cook with closed lid for 3 to 4 minutes.
At last, sprinkle lemon juice to it and mix it.
Ready to serve.
