Pyaz shallots salan recipe is such a family favorite, so I use the same salan base and add different vegetables to them and make different salan recipe. pyaz ka salan goes very well with pulao's.
Ingredients: Dry coconut pieces 1/2 Cup Peanuts 1 Tablespoon Sesame seeds 1 Tablespoon Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon Coriander powder 1 Teaspoon Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon Water as required Red chili powder 1 Teaspoon Curry leaves 3 Stricks Tamarind pulp 1 Cup Baby onion 10 Numbers Salt as per taste Jaggery 1 Teaspoon Coriander leaves 1/2 Cup
Method:
Take a pan, add dry coconut pieces, peanuts. SautĂŠ it for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add sesame seeds and sautĂŠ it. Then take a blender, add these ingredients and make it into fine paste and keep aside.
Take a pan and add oil, mustard seeds, dry red chilies, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder water, curry leaves and mix it well.
Cook it for 2 to 3 mins.
Then add dry coconut and peanuts powder that we have prepared for starting. And cook it well.
Then add tamarind pulp and mix well.when oil oozes out, add baby onion, jaggery and cook it with closed lid.
After that add salt, tomato pieces, coriander leaves and cook it well.
Serve with hot rice.
