Soy sauce ginger chicken is a northern Chinese dish. It is made of chicken that is cooked with soy sauce. There is also a Cantonese-style soya sauce chicken that is not cooked with soya sauce but marinated after cooking. Sesame Oil 1 Tablespoons Onion 1 Numbers Garlic 5 Numbers Chicken 1 Cup Jaggery 1 Teaspoons Red chili powder 1 Tablespoons Ginger 1 Numbers Spring onion 1 Bunch Coriander leaves 1/2 Cup Water as required
Method:
Place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil.
Add chopped onion, chopped garlic, chicken and cook until lightly toasted, shaking pan frequently, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Add soy sauce, salt and turn to coat.
Shake chicken pieces in the pan frequently, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Then add jaggery, red chili powder, chopped ginger, chopped spring onion, coriander leaves and water and Bring to a boil, simmer for 20 mins. Cover and let simmer until it becomes tender. and all the juice is absorbed.
Ready to serve SOYA SAUCE GINGER CHICKEN.
