POMPFRET CHETTINAD FISH FRY : Tamilnadu style Recipe for White Pomfret Fish Fry. Chettinad fish fry is a delicious and spicy preparation of fish made in the Chettinad region of South India. This cuisine is known for spicy food. Fish fillet marinated in Chettinad style masala and then shallow fried in oil.
Ingredients:     Pomfret fish 1 Number     Dry red chili 3 Numbers     Pepper corn 1 Teaspoon     Chana dal 1 Teaspoon     Tamarind 1 Teaspoon     Toor dal 1 Teaspoon     Cloves 3 Numbers     Cardamom 3 Numbers     Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon     Coriander seeds 1 Tablespoon     Curry leaves 3 Springs     Salt as per taste     Rice flour 1 Tablespoon     Oil as required
Method:
Wash the pomfret fish and keep aside as shown in the video.
Take a pan, add oil, dry red chili, pepper corns, dry coconut pieces, chana dal, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and sautĂŠ it well.
Add urad dal, toor dal, tamarind, curry leaves and sautĂŠ it. Later, transfer to a blender and make it into a fine powder and keep aside.
Apply this masala into fish as shown in the video and apply the rice flour.
Now take a pan and add oil, place the fish and cook it as shown in the video.
Serve it hot.
